Why does CPS have to put kids in foster care?

CPS

Occasionally, kids have to be removed and placed into the foster care system. It’s a sad reality that is sometimes unavoidable and necessary to protect kids. The problem with some counties and some units is that they use the current system in order to manipulate the case against you and take advantage of the powers given to them by the State. There are certain circumstances when CPS has more leverage when the children are in foster care. This is a very complicated issue but if kids are in foster care, that means CPS has temporary custody of the kids. In that situation, there are very little barriers to CPS being able to get the kids drug tested or seen by a Child Abuse Pediatrician.
